I randomly had the day off on Sunday so Meg and I ventured to Munich for a day of fun! We took the train and even made a German friend, Theresa. They have what is called a "Bayern Pass" which is a ticket that costs 28 euro and is good for up to 5 people to use anywhere in Bavaria, so she joined on with the 2 of us to safe us all some money! We arrived in Munich to find a race going on, so there were lots of runners everywhere... I decided that I am going to add running in a European race to my list of things to do because it looked so fun! We visited the Hofbrauhaus, the English Gardens, and Olympic Stadium. We also went to Tollwood-- a huge festival with tons of food, music, beer (of course), and booths set up...kind of like a craft fair. We also went to the enlish movie theatre to see Transformers--I wouldn't recommend it! Then we caught the train back, and I'm already looking forward to my next trip to Munich!
