Austria!

My trip to Austria was quite an adventure! We went to Amsback which is only about 2 hours from Garmisch. Day One involved white water rafting on the Inn River. It was a Level 4 (there are only 5 levels) so it was a bit intense but not as bad as I was expecting. Unfortunately, they did not take any pictures of us rafting, but here is the crew before we left. We all managed to stay in the raft, except for the 2 guides, who decided to play a little joke on us and jump out after one of the big rapids. We camped (probably illegally because we just found a nice little spot on the river and set up camp)... it was my first time actually cooking out.. hotdogs, smore's and goulash! Day 2 we went canyoning, which I have a hard time explaining, but it is kind of like rock climbing, but also involves sliding down water falls and jumping into water! We stopped and had lunch, definitely a gourmet cookout compared to the night before. We cooked steaks and veggies, and finished with shots of schnapps... gotta love the Austrians! Our guide, Gabbi, was awesome and she told us the perfect place to camp with a huge fire pit. She even came later in the night and brought us some Austrian beer and more schnapps. Another successful trip! Below is the view from our campsite!
